This is Where I Am

There are times when we go out into the world confident but then find ourselves lost in the madness of it all.

We begin to question who we are.

We begin to question where we've been.

We begin to question why we're here.

But maybe we have to go through that phase, to accept and embrace. Let go for now the things we tried to chase.

And face the truth behind the scars in our face that live beneath the surface of façades that maybe we should erase.

A façade we've kept along the way, just so people won't say the hurtful things you've been so afraid of up to this day.

Maybe it's time to stop going around looking for vague meaning from a fool's dictionary.

Maybe it's time to define our own meaning.

And hopefully by the end of it all, we find ourselves, not again but anew.

Find ourselves in new light and new meaning.

Find ourselves completely safe and happy where we are at the moment.

To be where you are.

To be where I am.
